Haines Bike, Hike, and Brew

You’ll meet at our bike shop for bike fitting and orientation. From our shop it’s a scenic 2 mile coastal ride to the Battery Point trailhead. You’ll hike a mile and a half through a beautiful rainforest environment on a well maintained trail to the beach at Battery Point. This is a great place to spot seals, sea lions, whales, and many types of birds. You’ll hike back to your bike and ride along the waterfront into town to the Haines Brewing Company to sample their locally crafted beers. (Root beer and tea are also available)
The Haines Brewing Company occupies a state-of-the-art building on Main St. in downtown Haines. You’ll stop in and sample three 5 oz. pours of their locally crafted beers. After tasting we’ll ride the final mile back to our bike shop to finish the tour.
If you’re traveling from Skagway, transportation is on the fast ferry, a 45 min trip each way.

Notes: Participants must be confident riding a bicycle with handbrakes and walking 2 miles on dirt trails. Helmets are required and provided. Participants must be at least 13 years old and 4’ 6” in height. Sport shoes and layered clothing are recommended. Rain jacket, pants, and fleece gloves are provided. An ID will be required at the Brewery to consume alcohol.
